Valentine’s Day Soiree at Palms Pavilion

Happy Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day! This day can be seen with contempt or love. A day of major marketing or a day to embrace everything it has to offer and treat yourself and/or the ones you love.

I always enjoy this celebration as I embrace the opportunity to create individual desserts to share or enjoy every single mouthful all to yourself.

This came about as I realised that not everyone requires a large celebration cake. It’s lovely to treat yourself at Country Palings Petals & Pots Café in Green Point to a mouth-watering slice of cake or cheesecake or at The Good Food Store in Smiths Lake with a scrumptious cupcake, however this day is the opportunity to savour a delicious individual dessert made with love.

When possible, I love to have my annual Valentine’s Day Soiree to spend time with my amazing customers. This year I was at Palms Pavilion at Tiona for the weekend at the Wedding Showcase. 

Thank you to everyone that came along and introduced themselves. It is always a joy to meet my regular customers, previous bridal couples and new people on their wedding adventure.

I created a range of different Petite Treats to sample as cake tasters and Dessert Table options.

• GF & Normal Lemon Meringue Pies

• Chocolate Truffles (GF White Chocolate Passionfruit, Milk Chocolate Orange featuring Coastal Brewing Company Milk Chocolate orange Stout & GF Dark Chocolate Truffles.

• Vanilla Butter Cupcakes with a White Chocolate Italienne Buttercream Swirl

• White Chocolate Raspberry Cupcakes with WCIMBC Flower Gardens

• Melting Moments with Passionfruit Buttercream

I loved that guests ate the Gluten Free options, without realising, and commented that they were amazing! Everyone should be able to enjoy dessert, despite food intolerances and lifestyle choices!
